Boston Massachusetts - Data Center

Unlike many hosting resellers in the industry, we are the Hosting Company. We own all our equipment including the RAID Tolerant IBM and Dell servers utilized throughout our network, the network attached Multi-Terabyte [TB] storage arrays, the connected Cisco Networking Gear and the Juniper Firewalls and Routers at the top of our network. We believe that employing the best equipment will produce the best results and customer experience.

GreenTree Hosting, LLC. houses its servers in a multi-million dollar Class A Data Center located in Boston, MA. The Datacenter employs multiple security measures starting at the main entrance where a guard booth is manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to the checkpoint at the main entrance, additional security personnel patrol the Datacenter Campus on a scheduled basis. Police and Fire stations are located within 1 mile of the campus ensuring rapid response to security concerns and other emergency situations. We are also in a no fly zone for aircraft and overhead traffic.

Data Center Security

Datacenter access is physically isolated from everyone but level three technicians. Public access is strictly forbidden. The datacenter is completely locked down at all times.

The facility is under video surveillance and monitored 24x7x365 by the Network Operations Center. Furthermore, all equipment is housed in locked cabinets to provide the highest level of security for our servers, firewalls, network gear and most importantly, your websites.

Environmental

The Datacenter has thirteen Liebert industrial-grade air-cooling units. Each with their own independent (glycol) feeds providing 300 tons of cooling and moisture control.

Elevated flooring allows cool air to be dynamically directed wherever needed rather than relying on fixed ductwork. 22 foot ceilings allows natural convention to carry heat up and away from equipment where it can partially dissipate before requiring cooling.

Power & Generators

The Datacenter facility sits at the intersection of two separate metropolitan power grids drawer from two distinct cities each supplying 13,800 volt service.

In the extremely rare event that both municipalities lose power concurrently, the facility is backed up locally by dual Katolite 1500 kilowatt generators. Both the primary and backup power supplies are buffered through a pair of United Power 18000 amp hour Uninterruptible Power Supplies.

Network

Working with our data center partner, Hosted Solutions, we strive to achieve 100% Network Uptime. The network consists of multiple Tier-1 bandwidth providers connected in a fully redundant architecture running on state-of-the-art networking equipment.

With (2) OC-12's, (2) OC-3's, and (1) Gigabit Ethernet upstream connections, the datacenter has access to nearly 3Gb/s of Internet capacity.

Waterbury, Connecticut - Data Center

In March of 2007, GreenTree Hosting, LLC. added a second colocated facility to house its servers in. Our second location provides additional redundancy for our servers, as well as geographical diversity. Our Connecticut based servers are housed in a secure facility in the heart of the Waterbury Technology Zone.
