Maureen Salvatore
Executive Biography & 1997–2026 Engineering Trajectory
Maureen Salvatore has been the essential partner in every major decision, infrastructure build, and strategic pivot since 1997—starting with the Packard Bell computer and Microsoft FrontPage she gifted Gene for Christmas.
In 1998, when residential real estate marketing was still trapped in two-line newspaper classifieds and weeks-old grocery checkout photo booklets, Maureen secured a meeting with the Rhode Island State-Wide Multiple Listing Service (RI State MLS). She pitched a live, searchable database-driven website with property photos and listing details, won the deal, and secured RILiving.com—sparking a statewide wave of realtors commissioning custom websites.
At Adgrafix.com and subsequently Hosting.com, Maureen served in senior leadership managing an international reseller and affiliate ecosystem of tens of thousands of partners—beating corporate growth quotas every single month en route to Adgrafix’s $22M+ acquisition in 2001.
While Gene architects systems, Maureen ensures they survive contact with reality. Her operational and financial discipline guided the team through the Boston Datacenters turnaround, the 2007 TierPoint sale, the $40,000 GreenTree Hosting carve-out, and three national economic cycles (the Dot-Com Bust, 2008 Crash, and pandemic) with zero debt and 99.99% uptime.
